Action Regulation
Action regulation is the adjustment of all moving parts of the keyboard inside the piano. Over time, with normal playing, these parts can fall out of alignment, rendering the keyboard difficult to control. Regulating the action restores the mechanism to its optimal sensitivity touch.
Voicing
The art of adjusting the timbre (brightness or mellowness) of the sound is done by adjusting the texture and occasionally, the shape of the hammer felts.
